This was one of the few times where I actually would have liked a longer trailer. Although, what I did see looked very interesting and I like these kinds of stories which involve a story within themselves, in this case a book. I would love to see this film and understand all of the mysteries and sub-plots within it. Overall it appeared to be deserving of its many awards.
Regarding what Kyle said, I think that the brief trailer actually helped sell the movie better. While longer trailers often reveal too much and spoil the movie for viewers, this trailer was clear and concise while remaining very interesting and captivating. As opposed to some other movies that I comment on, I would definitely see this movie as it seemed very well-done and I wouldn't be surprised if it emerged as one of my favorites.
This trailer, as will said, was actually very effective. It helped retain the mystery aspect of the film. It didnt give too much away. This seems like a boring movie, but a good one. Reminds me of Zodiacm, as it was one of the better movies ive seen, yet it was long and required you to pay attention. However, i would watch this if i sat down and was attentive, rather than watching a comedy at 2 in the morning. I can see how it won academy awards through the captivating trailer.
This trailer looked really great. I agree with the lesser Will that the short trailer actually helped selling the movie, just like the film technique in which the director and screenwriter don't tell much about a main character's backstory to bring the audience in. The concept of the film reminds me of the inspector who was probably murdered by the Argentinian government the same day he was to testify to congress about a bombing a few decades ago.
This trailer was effective but wasn't that long. A longer one would of shown a little bit more but not a lot. This movie was captivating and interesting unlike some of the other movies we have watched. This was a good trailer though and it seems like it should get any award it was nominated for.
The trailer while most people said was good, I feel was a bit confusing. Short and concise aren't the words that come to find with this trailer, if it was longer and showcased a more focused idea about the film then I feel it would've showcased the movie better. The movie itself though looks interesting, with an unresolved murder as its main plot and subplots like love interests and such but the trailer could have been done better.
The trailer was a very good one, i feel like it was long enough to captivate the viewers but not too long or it would have given too much away. The movie seemed to have a lot of moving parts and the trailer did a good job of expressing all of them and it didnt give them away either.
