Q2: Maria, Full of Grace

This story is a frightening film about women being used as drug mules.  When they get in over their head, things get even more messed up.

Watch and respond.

  1. It's a sad story, desperate woman carting drugs for the cash. The movie does look well done at least and seems to encompass more than simply saying she was pregnant and went to be a drug mule. The surrounding story is what intrigues me, it and how it connects to the main plot itself.

  2. This film looked different from other Latin American film clips we have seen in that it actually looked pretty well done despite its seemingly limited budget. Obviously it is a tragic plotline, and I want to see how the main character is developed - is she a protagonist all the way who got in with some bad people, or was she willing to carry the drugs as long as she got money? This film looked interesting at least and I would consider watching it.

  3. This story is sadly very relatable to us American. Many of our movies have negative effect on the viewers and make them give signifcant emotion. Drug trafficking is a sad fact of our world and it hurts so many families worldwide. This producer is really brave for attempting to create a movie on such a touchy issue as this one.

  4. This is a sad movie of a women that has to smuggle drugs or else her family will be hurt. This reminds me a lot alike of a movie I have watched before about contraband and smuggling. THe women though is forced into this work because her acquaintance has left her and she cannot afford the bills. This is a interesting movie though.
